The first Star Wars Droid Factory opened last year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida. A Droid Factory is a place full of miscellaneous astromech droid figurine parts which allows you to customize your own figure. This is similar version of a “build-a-bear” kiosk found in many places, including zoos, science centers and other attractions.
The Droid Factory must have been popular, because Disney has decided to open one at Downtown Disney, also located in Orlando, and one at the Disneyland park in California! Link
These “factories” are great for all Star Wars fans, but especially for kids. My kids love them! It’s one of the first places they run to!

One of Mickey Mouse’s favorite things about “Star Wars” Weekends is that he gets to dress in his Jedi best and join the galactic fun. Each year, Mickey seems to take on a different role in the official “Star Wars” Weekends logo. This year, his imagination takes him to the Forest Moon of Endor, where he is seen zipping away from scout troopers with Chip and Dale. Mickey’s wild speeder bike ride on this year’s artwork has historical significance, as 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi” — the film that featured the Battle of Endor.
Also announced are two VIP guest appearances: Ray Park and Warwick Davis! They will join the already confirmed celebrity hosts James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein. Click on the link above for appearance dates!

Disney has announced the dates for Star Wars Weekends 2013! Also, James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein will reprise their roles as celebrity hosts!
This year’s Force-filled fun will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 17 – June 9, 2013.
While details are still being planned, we’re excited to announce that James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein are returning as celebrity hosts for the annual special event. James, the voice behind many of the most famous animated characters in film, television and commercials, is known to Star Wars fans as the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series. Ashley, who started her show business career as a parade dancer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, is the voice of Anakin’s ambitious Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
James is the Official Celebrity Host of Star Wars Weekends 2013, and Ashley is Celebrity Host of “Behind the Force,” a live show that takes fans behind-the-scenes in the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars Weekends 2012 Dates Announced
Catherine Taber (voice of Padme Amidala, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, voice of Vette in Star Wars: The Old Republic) will be attending Disney Star Wars Weekends 2012!
Catherine will be a celebrity guest the weekend of June 1-3, 2012 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando. Fans will have a chance to meet Catherine during daily autographs sessions, see her in the galactic daily motorcade for great photo opportunities, as well as, see her as a guest in the Behind The Force shows performed daily during Star Wars Weekends!

Ashley Eckstein and James Arnold Taylor – who provide the voices of Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi, respectively, for the popular animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars – will join us for the duration of the 2012 event in their host roles.

Disney has announced the dates for Star Wars Weekends 2012!
We have confirmed dates to share today for next year’s Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The galactic fun begins on May 18 and will run through June 10. And of course the centerpiece of the experience will be our 3-D Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction that debuted this summer. Here are the weekends:
